How We Make Money

Online-Casinos.mt is an independent comparison site for players in Malta. We may earn a commission when you sign up at a casino through links on our site, at no extra cost to you.

Commissions never decide our rankings, ratings or reviews. Every casino is tested and scored against the same criteria, and we only list casinos licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority. 18+ only. Please gamble responsibly.

Online Casino Reviews for Malta 2026: Tested and Rated

Every casino we recommend to players in Malta gets a full, independent review before it appears in our ranking. We open a real account, check the licence on the regulator’s register, read the bonus terms line by line and time a real withdrawal, then score each casino against the same six criteria.

How We Test Every Casino

We do not review a casino from its homepage. Every review on this site follows the same six steps, so you can compare one casino with another on equal terms.

  1. Open a real account, verify our identity and note any problems along the way.
  2. Confirm the casino holds a valid Malta Gaming Authority licence on the regulator’s public register.
  3. Read the full general terms, bonus terms and withdrawal limits.
  4. Deposit and play slots, table games and live dealer tables, on desktop and on a phone.
  5. Ask support a real question through live chat and email, and judge how fast and helpful the answer is.
  6. Request a withdrawal and time how long the money takes to arrive.

The Six Criteria Behind Every Score

Each criterion gets its own mark out of 10, and these marks are shown as bars in every review. The overall score reflects all six, with licence and safety treated as a must, because no bonus is worth playing at an unsafe casino.

Criterion What We Check
Licence and Safety A valid licence on the regulator’s register, secure connections and tested games
Games The range of slots, table games and live dealer tables, and the studios behind them
Mobile Play Speed and ease of use on phones and tablets
Support Availability, response times and helpfulness
Payments Methods available to players in Malta, limits and payout speed
Bonus Value Wagering, time limits, maximum bets and how much it really takes to unlock an offer

What Our Scores Mean

  • 9.5 to 10Outstanding. One of the best casinos available in Malta, with very few weaknesses.
  • 9.0 to 9.4Excellent. Strong in every area, with only minor drawbacks.
  • 8.0 to 8.9Very good. Recommended, with clear trade-offs you should know about before you sign up.
  • 7.0 to 7.9Fair. Safe and licensed, but beaten by other casinos in our list.
  • Below 7Not listed. We do not include it in our ranking.

A score is never fixed. When a casino changes its bonus, payment limits or support, we test it again and update both the score and the date at the top of the review.

Red Flags That Keep a Casino Off Our List

Some casinos never make it into our reviews. If we find any of the following, we leave the casino out, however big its welcome offer looks.

  • No valid MGA or EU licence
  • Bonus terms with hidden traps, such as a low maximum win or unclear game weighting
  • Withdrawals that are delayed or cancelled without a clear reason
  • Repeated complaints from players that the casino has not resolved
  • Missing responsible gambling tools, such as deposit limits and self-exclusion
  • Support that is slow, unhelpful or impossible to reach

Why We Only Review Licensed Casinos

Malta is home to the Malta Gaming Authority, one of the strictest gambling regulators in Europe. Licensed casinos must keep player funds separate, use tested games, write fair bonus terms and offer tools to stay in control under the MGA’s Player Protection Directive.

An MGA licence also gives you somewhere to turn if things go wrong. If a licensed casino does not resolve your complaint, you can take it to an independent dispute service or to the MGA itself. Casinos without that protection have no place on this site.

Who Writes Our Reviews

Our reviews are written by Luke Camilleri, who has spent 15 years in the gambling industry, including years as a croupier at a land-based casino in Malta. He knows how casino games and casino terms really work, and he checks every offer with that experience.

Some casinos pay us a commission when a player signs up through our links, but this never buys a better score in our reviews. You can read how this works in our affiliate disclosure.

How to Use Our Reviews

Start with the short answer at the top of each review if you only need the verdict. If you are about to deposit, read the bonus section and the payment methods table, because that is where the real cost and speed of a casino show up. To compare several casinos at once, see our ranking of the best online casinos in Malta.

Casino Reviews FAQ

How Do You Choose Which Casinos to Review?

We review casinos that hold a valid MGA licence and accept players from Malta. Every casino goes through the same six step test before its review is published.

Do Casinos Pay for Their Reviews?

No. Some casinos pay us a commission when a player signs up through our links, but they cannot buy a review or a better score.

How Often Are Reviews Updated?

We update a review whenever a casino changes its bonus, payment limits or terms. The date at the top of each review shows when it was last checked.

Can I Suggest a Casino for Review?

Yes. Send us the casino name through our contact page and we will check whether it holds an MGA licence and accepts players from Malta.

Are the Casinos in Your Reviews Legal in Malta?

Every casino we review holds a licence from the Malta Gaming Authority, the regulator for online gambling in Malta.
